Pop video- Olly Murs 'Dance with me tonight'

Conventions that are happening in the music video 'Dance with me tonight'

Colourful- For example in this music video the colours change constantly throughout the video, sometimes the colour is 'black and white' and then other times the colour is all bright colours such as 'Red, Yellow and Blue'.

Camera Shots: A different variation of shots for example there are a lot of close up shots of the artist when the green screen is being used.
A lot of mid shots are used this is to enhance what the artist is wearing
and it gives the viewer a clearer idea of the area which is trying to be established. This also makes it easy to notice the artist lip singing.

Mise En Scene: The artist clothing is smart casual and gives me a clear representation that the artist is cool. Also Olly Murs only wears two different outfits throughout the music video which tell me that it shows a story of his day and what he is wanting to achieve from the day. The Mise en scene also shows a dance routine implemented which he is trying to impress a girl with. A lot of high key lighting is used throughout the video which is conventional to a pop music video because it is very colourful and uses fill in light.

Editing: Fast paced editing throughout the video. The editing at the beginning of the music video is Olly Murs pulling a lot of different faces to give it a funny vibe to the video. There is not much jump shots throughout the video which is normally the conventional route in a music video. This music video shows Olly Murs going around London trying to do everything to get the girl who he wants.
Towards the end of the video there is a lot of fading which happens this is to show quick snaps.
